CPO’s annual, and hugely popular, presentation of music from the movies.

This year’s selection includes superheroes Batman, Superman and Rey from Star Wars.

We travel with legendary Jason and the Argonauts on the their quest to find

The Golden Fleece.

There’s also the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The King and I,  plus one of the funniest of film comedies Airplane! and a visit to a certain Bates Motel with all its hidden secrets!! We also include a tribute to the late great Burt Bacharach with the main theme from Arthur that starred Dudley Moore and Liza Minelli.

SUMMER CONCERT

We are proud to present a compelling programme

at 7.30pm on June 28th at the fabulous BBC Hoddinott Hall.

Bernstein's Candide Overture commences proceedings in inimitable

effervescent style.


Guest soloist Rosie Biss (Principal cello with Welsh National Opera) performs Elgar's magnificent Cello Concerto.


The concert concludes with Shostakovich's epic Symphony Number 10.
A night of music making not to be missed!
